Far View Lodge - Mesa Verde’s Ancient Mesa-Top Metropolis
Far View was once one of the most densely populated areas of Mesa Verde, with nearly 50 villages clustered within a half square mile between CE 900 and 1300. This lively mesa-top community thrived before the iconic cliff dwellings were constructed—and many Pueblo people chose to stay long after. Today, visitors can stroll between six fascinating sites, including Far View House, Coyote Village, and Megalithic House, all linked by an easy trail system that brings ancient daily life into view.
